Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
All service begins with completion of the Client Inquiry Form. You must complete that form to begin any / all services as there is certain information that helps the Tracker determine what type of service you may or may not need. Upon receipt of the invoice you will need to pay it within 2 hours of receipt to HOLD your appointment time.
The sooner the track the better! For People you want to track ASAP! For pets...we don't go out past 3 weeks for dogs...and 30 days for cats because at that point we are trying to catch up. It's better to WAIT for a sighting!!
It depends on the situation. If you have DEDICATED scent articles for all your pets...YES! If you don't then we would have to cancel out the pet(s) that returned home...meaning, the Tracking Dogs will need to walk past them prior to SCENTING up for the track so they know that's NOT the animal they are looking for.
As long as all your pets didn't leave the yard...we are still GOOD to track. Or if there is a confirmed sighting (picture or owner's report) we can track from the sighting (as long as you didn't walk your other animals in that area).
NO! Odor will still be there after 48 hours and even longer! Scent Specific Track / Trail dogs can track up to 30 days from time of loss (all dogs are different and their training styles are different).
You can put familiar items out for your pet; however, IF you are considering using a Tracking Dog...please DO NOT put out your pets bed if that is your only scent article because you don't know what will come in contact with that article, which contaminates it for the Tracking Dog. You should ACTUALLY put something out that smells like you...your pet will be looking for you!
Rain does not negatively impact odor! Yes, rain can wash odor some but a trained dog can work through the wash and still follow odor. Damp ground enhances odor. NOTE: If dogs couldn't track / detect odor in wet conditions...Police / Search and Rescue Teams would NEVER recover people from bodies of water.
Most animals will attempt to make their way home once they have settled down and gotten out of FLIGHT MODE within the first 24-48 hours! This is a state of mind similar to us and adrenaline. An animal in FLIGHT MODE needs to settle down...and get OUT of their head before they will EVER be able to get caught!!! Most Trackers WILL NOT come out in that timeframe. EXCEPTIONS: IF the animal is injured, medically compromised, or very small (under 10 lbs.) / old!!!
When there has been a recent sighting...a Tracking Dog could PUSH your animal out of the area! You would be better off using a TRAPPER vs. a Tracker at that point. EXCEPTIONS: IF the animal is injured, medically compromised, or very small (under 10 lbs.) / old!!!
You should go to that location...ASAP! Take food and another family dog (if you have more than one). Be CALM and QUIET! Let your other dog out (on LEASH) to draw your missing pet in. Get LOW to the ground; TALK in conversational tone (your pet is cueing in on the familiar tone); and WAIT for you dog to realize it's YOU!! Their body language will change...you will know!!
There is a non-refundable deposit of $150 for holding your appointment time. You will get a full refund of the balance...unless the Tracker has already left home. Then you may lose a portion of the mileage depending on how far the Tracker has traveled.
There is a non-refundable deposit of $150 for holding your appointment time because it takes a time away from someone else. [Additional fees may be incurred if there are flights, hotels and rental car reservations.]
